Bah Bloody Humbug - a Toy / Paper Theatre Animation
Description
An experiment in trying to replicate a live Victorian Toy or Paper or Miniature Theatre show in animation.
I perform these shows live in St Ives, Cornwall, UK and they have this wonderful charm to them. The puppetry is very simple but very effective. The origins of Toy Theatre is from London's West End Theatre shows from around 1812 onwards. Hence the theatrical look! If you get a chance do go and see a Toy Theatre show.
I wanted to still keep the simplistic charm of the original with some enhancing yet understated animation.
All characters and backgrounds are from Toy Theatre shows except Krampus. Software used was Moho.
Details of my Toy Theatre Shows can be found here http://www.shantybaba.com/
