Double Bounce Walk Cycle (Test Animation for Animated Short)
Description
This is a test for the classic "Double Bounce" walk. It's one of my favorite walks and I think it suits Santa Claus very well. It's a fun and happy walk to do in real life, and it's a fun walk to use in cartoons. In Richard Williams' book "The Animator's Survival Kit" you will find an extensive amount of helpful tips and drawings that demonstrate how to use this walk effectively. As Richard Williams states in the book, when animating a walk it helps if you actually act it out in real life - this applies to anything that you're animating. If you get stuck somewhere in the animation process, then act it out in real life to better understand the movement. This is also a test for an animated short that I'm working on that will hopefully be out by this Christmas.
