Connecting lines to circles
Connecting lines to circles - Anime Studio Tutorial

Connecting a line to a circle can be tricky in Anime Studio. It should be straight forward, but often you'll find any new points added to your circle will distort it.

The trick is not to create new points on the circle, but to join your line to the circle's points. This way the circle won't lose its shape.

Brushes sometimes tended to bunch up, especially around pointy corners. The brush spacing is now much more even, including when the curviness of a shape is animated over time.

Here is another background tutorial I made using a screenshot reference and a couple of perspective lines to recreate a cartoon background. I know it's long but you'll get the gist of it in the first 10 to 20 minutes.
I kept it in real time so you could see how long backgrounds can take sometimes even when you're only using them for a few seconds of animation.

Here is a hybrid livestream/tutorial where I'll explain, in detail, how I accomplish the color effect in my short film, "Rakitty & Bearcoon". I'm recording this live, but I hope it ends up concise enough to be a tutorial once archived!

Dragonball Instant Transmission (Teleport) effect
Dragonball Instant Transmission (Teleport) effect - Moho (Anime Studio) Tutorial

This is a pretty easy tutorial on recreating the instant transmission teleporting effect that is used in the DragaonBall Z cartoons. It's a quick example but can be refined to look even better.

The technique involves using animated layer effects to make entire groups of objects change their opacity all at once. It also uses the trick of using one keyframe and adding noise to it to make vertical lines seem as though they are animating at a rapid pace.
