Hello everyone! I was trying to think of a way to create a special effect that looked similar to those summoning spells you see in video games and anime cartoons and this is what I've come up with.
It's not too....complicated but it does go into the concepts of using 3D space so just watch carefully, follow along and you should be alright.
There are 3 different effects shown in this tutorial and all are based on particles so if you like stuff like this, make sure you watch my other particle based tutorials as well so you get a better understanding of how they work.
And saying that, when working with particles....make SURE you play around with the settings! I can't stress enough that getting something to look the way you want takes a lot of tweaking! I can make dozens of tutorials on effects but you'll never grasp how they work unless you experiment!!!!
Anyway, hope you enjoy the tutorial!

So this tutorial is another particle effect tutorial on making all of the listed above as well as smoke. I tried uploading this and it was immediately demonized because of that word I'm thinking. Anyway, you can use this technique to create all kinds of cool effects as long as you have Anime Studio Pro 7 or above. It must be the Pro versions as you'll have to use particles.

This tutorial shows you how to use a single dot to make a moving star field and also how to use one line to create a space warping effect like that used in Star Wars or other types of sci-fi movies. They both are really simple and just use the rotation of particles in 3D space to make them work.

Need ants crawling around a garbage can? Or some roaches for a spooky movie scene? Maybe you want to create a pond with fish swimming around it. If so, this tutorial might help. It is a simple way to use a simple animation and particles to create moving swarms.
It uses particles and the follow path tool and a tiny bit of animation on your character and thats it. It is easy to manipulate the speed and direction of your characters with this technique. If you have any questions let me know!

To be honest, I'm still learning this one! I figured it out enough to make a quick tutorial but I think I'm gonna end up making an more in depth one later on because I can think of a lot of other uses for this!
As the title states though, this is a quick run through on making a forward scrolling background. It mainly uses particles to generate random elements that can be moved through 3D space without a lot of work to create the illusion!
