After the submitted Xmas contest animation I continued to work on the snowman. He can now turn his head side to side up and down and the body can turn to one side. Added a smart bone for the scarf. Cleaned up the rig so he can turn and bend without getting all distorted. Also a few styles to easily change colors of buttons, scarf, gloves & nose. Enjoy!!

For this animation, I was trying out a simplistic body turn and also Squash& Stretch. What better way than with a cute little penguin doing a little dance on ice.

As no violence is allowed on this site, I've decided to render my cowboy with no gun in his holster. (Naah, the truth is that I had too much trouble with the body turn, with a gun in the holster. Therefore, since I can't draw a gun, my cowboy won't draw his gun either, because it won't be in his holster...) No wonder he is so cranky.

Dynamic bones were used for the head, hat, mustache and arms.
This was created using very few keypoints thanks to the 'additive cycle' feature in the loops:
The rig is setup so the body moves with the legs.
(The bones that control the position of the body are hidden in the file)
The character's body will remain aligned halfway between the two feet. The two main bones that make this work:
B2_2 – Targets his left foot B5, max IK stretching set to 10000.
B3_2 – Half way along B2_2 and parented. Angle control set to -1 of B2_2 [could use Independent angle]. B1 (main body) parented to this bone
