Straight out of a Maurice Sendak book!

Yes, I was so hard up for a monster idea that I used "Where the Wild Things Are" as my inspiration. Of course, my art skills are so poor that Sendak's estate won't sue me for copyright infringement, but they may come after me for defamation of character for associating his name with my animation.

The cartoon is inspired by the true story of Siso a young male sperm whale of 10 meters caught with the caudal fin in an illegal net off the Aeolian Islands in Sicily. Despite intense efforts to free him, the sperm whale unfortunately died after a slow and suffering agony.

Entry into September's "Halloween" animation competition. Usual caveats -- done in haste, etc. etc...!

I was playing about with bones and head turns to create this animation. Everything, apart from the sound, is created within MOHO 12.

This example file uses the smart warp layer feature of Moho Pro 12 to morph the texture.
A grid was first drawn, then 'draw' > 'Triangulate 2D Mesh' was selected to create the suitable warp layer. This grid was then applied to the image layer via layer settings > Vectors > Smart warp layer. On frame 1, this grid was then moved to the curves of the t-shirt.
Masking and bones were also used.

This is a little animation i did for the competition, but I couldn't do on time.
Please if you see or know something that I did bad please tell me, I want to be better at animation.

I'd already created a snowglobe for my other entry into this months competition and it seemed a shame to leave it at that so I included it in another entry!

I wish I could find more time but I found out about this competition on the 15th of December 2017. To come up with a story; to build the characters, B.Gs and to relearn anime studio it took me a week and 2 days.

For the remaining days, I had a rush time for animation, I had to cut the story short and implement new story ideas to make this version of the story but will finish the full original version of the short.
