A trailer for Near, an animated short. This is a blend of pencil drawing, vector animation and still digital and film photography. Most of the photography was shot in Nepal. The film stock is Fujichrome Professional Velvia and Provia. The music track for the trailer was recorded in Nashville by Lee Olsen on mandolin, Ward Stout on guitar and as recording engineer. Final mix, me. The audio track for the full theatrical version was vocalized by Cesaria Evora, singing Petit Pays. That music was licensed for film festivals for 2008, and Near was screened internationally during that year.
