Buttons for inserting actions since lipsyncing with actions can get really tedious when you have to right-click in the actions list all the time.
I added the "Sort names" (alphabetically) option since I always use the same names for the mouths but I don't always create them in the same order. Now they're always in the same place.
I still use blend morphs when I need more subtlety in the mouth movements but when I don't, this tool is a huge time saver.

One slightly annoying thing though; it doesn't always update when you select different layers so you may have to select another tool and then go back to this to force it to update.

Oh, and clicking on the screen with this tool will select the the closest layer, just like using ALT+RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON (except this won't expand all the layers).

This script enables the animation of the layer's origin.
This is a layer script and a core file replacement as new lines were needed? - lm_set_origin.lua

How to use:
Let's say you have a vector layer (Layer 1) with a ball drawn in it.
Create a new layer and name it the same as the first, but end it in .origin
So "Layer 1.origin"

On the first layer (layer 1) - load the animateorigin.lua script into it via the layer properties window
Now when you move the origin of the first layer, it will be animated.
The animation is stored in the .origin's translation channel.

Bone Parent Master

This matches a bone's name in one layer, with a bone of the same name in the parent layer, and makes the parent bone control the child's bone. This is useful where you have a switch layer with a bone layer parent, and you want to animate the bones in the bone layer but still deform the switch layers. Just copy the bones from your parent object to the switch layer, then apply this script in the Embedded script toggle in the Layer properties panel. It will control the length, strength, offset and position/angle/scale of the matching bone.

How do you use it?
If you have installed Pixie, AS will add a button in the tool panel, click it and you will open the tool.
You can drag it to anywhere on the screen.
Right click you can edit the quick key.

The default setting is:
ctrl+alt+c to copy the colour where the cursor is.
ctrl+alt+x to open the colour-mixer.
ctrl+alt+z to popup a window showing you the info on the colour where your cursor is

After you copy the colour you can simply paste the value to the AS.

Pixie is a utility made especially for webmasters and designers. It is a colour picker with few extra goodies.

Run it, simply point to a colour and it will tell you the hex, RGB, HTML, CMYK and HSV values of that colour. You can then use these values to reproduce the selected colour in your programs. Pixie will also show the current coordinates of your mouse pointer.

My major goal in almost every tool is to minimize mouse clicks and tool changes. The selection of the points seems a bit difficult, the most uncomfortable I think is the Create Shape tool (this is only my opinion, maybe others like it). But, for example, Manipulate Bones works great.

Because I have not enough experience yet with Moho, it should be important to receive suggestions. The known hidden bugs in the tools are also welcomed.

I am interesting on the coordinate model (What is the unit? The height of the field?), the spline calculation method (what is the meaning of the magic curvature value?) and any other important data.

I am also planning to implement my image vectorising and peghole recognition for scanned papers, but maybe the lua is not powerful enough, and I do need a perfect description of the spline geometry first (ADDED: now I know it)

Added scale limits. Not a perfect solution. The bones won't scale when dragged too far but they will "disconnect" at the joint. I don't find this to be too bad and just keep an eye on the bones so they don't disconnect... too much. wink

Description:
This bone layer script will make a bone rotate and scale to reach a target bone. The bone controlling the "shaft" in the third animation above is the "aimer" bone. There is another bone that is a child of a bone that rotates around the wheel. This child bone is the "target". The aimer bone rotates and scales to aim at the offset rotating target bone.


Instructions:
The script works with pairs of bones. The "aimer" bone and the "target" bone. Both bones must have the same name with an extension.

Name the aiming bone (the one that will stretch and rotate) with the extension:

I've also included a file, _tool_list_fragment.txt, that shows my recommended key assignments.

So hopefully it's pretty self explanatory, but here's a brief description on how to use it.

1. In any layer, press ',' and all of the keys at or to the right of the cursor will be nudged 1 place to the left. Press '.' and the keys will be nudged 1 place to the right. If the current layer has children then all layers below it will also be affected. If there is a key to the immediate left of the cursor, then a left nudge won't be performed.

2. In any layer, hold down shift when you press ',' or '.' and all keys in the document, including the camera keys will be nudged. The document's endframe will also be automatically adjusted.

3. In any layer, run the rt_create_consolidated_timeline_layer script and all keys in parent (if exists) and sibling layers (if exists) will consolidated into a special non-rendering layer which placed alongside the original layer. Whenever you nudge left or right in this layer its parent and the parent's children are automatically affected. This script can also be run at the top level as well and is useful for monitoring global nudges.

4. There are a number of option variables at the bottom of the rt_nudge_keys_left.lua file, which I plan to implement as options one day using a separate set option script. I'm too tired to explain them all now, but an interesting one is "enable_fake_curvature_channel". The thing is that the curvature channel for each point is not currently available in the script interface, but I worked out a fairly robust way to fake it by assuming that each curvature key has a corresponding point position key. Where it gets a bit hacky is that it uses an action with a single curvature key at a high frame to blank the current curvature channel. This is why it's disabled by default.

Anyway, what I love about Anime Studio is that it's so much fun to use. I just hope this tool makes tweaking the timing as fun as everything else!

Of course it goes without saying, if anyone finds any bugs or has any suggestions for making it better, I would love to hear them.

The script finds a bone in the bone layer with a name starting with "Wheel" and rotates them depending on their length and the movement of the parent bone along the X axis.

How to use the script:

1. Build the bone clearly from the centre of the wheel. A grid to help you (Ctrl + G). For realistic rotation, the bone length should be clearly along the radius of the wheel. The direction of the bone in its construction does not matter. Snap the wheel to the bone through a point or layer snap tool.

2. Name the bone of the wheel so that the name starts with "Wheel" ("Wheel", "Wheel 2", "Wheel 3", etc.). The wheels can be any number, at least a hundred pieces. Tie wheel bones to one parent. Usually there are several wheels, but one car. The name of the parent bone does not matter.

3. In the properties of the bone layer, enable the "Attached script file" option. In the browse window that opens, specify the file "rotating_bone_2.21.lua" from the attachment. Everything! After that, the Wheel bones will begin to rotate when the parent bone is moved (not in the zero frame).

Remember that layer script files, like all external files, are stored in the .moho project as links to the original file. That is, if you rename, move, or delete the script file on the important hard drive, it will stop working in the project.

-- When you select a shape, this shows all the IDs for the shapes below the cursor.
-- It indicates which shape in the stack is selected with "[ ]". So you can see either your selection change, using Ctrl+Up/Down, or the shape order change (IDs move), just using Up/Down.

Left to right is top to bottom in the stack.

No more Ctrl+Up/Down overrun...where you keep hitting the arrow and nothing happens.

You can also make contiguous shape selections in the stack using Ctrl+Shift+Up/Down. All selected shapes in the stack are indicated by "[ ]" and can be moved as a group.
