Moho (Anime Studio) Tutorials

Did you know that you can prevent your shapes from distorting when you add points to them (Moho only)? That you can show a layer's points and paths even when you are editing another layer? That you can easily reset to position and rotation of bones and points with one click? Moho has a ton of features, and sometimes people I speak with are surprised to find out about some of them. This is a follow up to the "Switch Layer Dials" tutorial. It is just a faster easier way to set up a smart bone to control switch layers!

In this video I'm using it to rig a mouth switch layer to a smart bone and then us the bone to help me lip sync!

This is a tutorial on how to create a lightning effect in Anime Studio Pro/MOHO Pro. It involves using strokes, the stoke exposure tool, layer noise and layer effects. It is pretty easy to do has a really good looking effect! You can use it for lighting strikes or use it as a projectile effect similar to that used for magic wand battles in the Harry Potter Movies or force lightning in the Star Wars movies!

Although Anime Studio is a 2D program, it does have some 3D features such as the ability creating a 3D shape from a vector layer, these 3D objects can then be animated within the program. They can also be saved as .obj files.

Using the new reference layer feature, it is now possible to create repeating kaleidoscope patterns that can be animated.

The rotate point tool allows you to rotate selected points in the current layer.

The delete edge tool allows you to delete unwanted edges from a layer.
